Coming up this Saturday, August 1st, San Ramon Youth to Youth will be parneting with the Shinnyo-en foundation to run a Pay-It-Forward campaign.

We have several teams of youth, each with an adult driver, who have come up with their own ways to pay it forward. Each team has been given $50, a goal to match that money, and free reign to pay it forward in the most creative way possible.

On Saturday you may be a recipient of this project, and that could very well be why you're reading this article. We encourage everyone to find some way to bring peace to someone else's life by paying it forward.

If you are affected by this campaign, please leave a comment at the bottom of this article and let us know! We'd love to hear from you.

Youth to Youth International

Youth to Youth was founded in 1982 in Columbus, Ohio, as a community-based drug prevention and youth leadership program focusing primarily on middle school and high school students. The goal of its many projects is harnessing the powerful influence of peer pressure-- making it a positive force that encourages young people to live free of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.

Youth to Youth in San Ramon

Youth to Youth came to the San Ramon Valley  in 1994 when a youth traveled to the Western States Conference and had the experience of their life. Since then we've hosted a conference every year in San Ramon. Our program of events, conferences, and youth group meetings has been spearheaded by the wonderful Kim Gallagher who has had the assistance of various Youth Coordinators

San Ramon Y2Y Conference

Our conference has been going since 1994 when it first started, but it hasn't always been the same. We originally started out as a high school conference organized by a few dedicated highschool students who chose to meet months in advanced to plan the event. Since then our event has evolved into a middle school conference so successful that we can say our conference is one of the largest in the western states region. Our conference is now organized by a year long Community Advisory Board.

Community Advisory Board

When: 6:30-8:30PM on Tuesday nights

Where: Iron Horse Middle School MPR, San Ramon

The Community Advisory Board, or CAB as we affectionately call it, is the place we go Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30PM at the Iron Horse Middle School MPR to keep the Y2Y magic going all year long. Part of our year is dedicated to coordinating the Youth to Youth conference, but with a year round group we're able to do so much more. Above all else we do our best to portray the drug free message through tons of drug free fun! If you're an 8th through 12th grader come join us any Tuesday night and find out for yourself!
