The Community Advisory Board might sound like a dull place where students sit around a large oak table reading facts about drug use with a leader using a wooden mallet, but is lacks this formality. CAB, as the students call it, is a place where peers can come together and have fun. They play games, learn information, plan conferences, and even get some important work done. The meeting is mostly facilitated by older students that have graduated from the program.
They plan weekly meetings where teenagers from the San Ramon Valley can be a support for eachother as they stand up for their values. Kim Gallagher, the Program Director, has been helping with the program for as long as anyone can remember and the kids still love her.
Many have come and gone through the program, but all can recall the memories of energizers, crazy games, discussions, and the friends. The Iron Horse Middle School cafeteria houses the hundreds of kids during the day, but on Tuesday nights it transforms into a place where kids can come and be themselves away from the judging and pressures of high school.

We now have all conference fliers and forms available. Participant Registration forms (Link updated 3/9), Staff Applications and A-Team Applications can all be found here.
We also have our fliers up and available for download in this section. For questions please refer to the contact information contained within each application (found near the bottom of each) or send an e-mail to Nate Biggs or Kim Gallagher.
If you'd like to help out with the conference, and are a high school student, why not drop by our weekly CAB meetings? We meet every Tuesday from 6:30-8:30PM at Iron Horse Middle School in the MPR.

Registration cost: $35 in advanced, $45 after 2/28 or at the door.

It is with great enthusiasm that I announce this year's 2009 San Ramon Youth to Youth Conference! We are gearing up for an amazing event with tons of hard work both at CAB and at our coordinator's meetings. I would also like to announce that we're now accepting Staff Applications, a copy of which is now available on our site.
Are you interested in helping out with the conference? Are you a high school student? Then why not drop by our CAB meetings on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30PM at the Iron Horse MPR? We'll be playing a bunch of fun games, running committee meetings to prepare for the conference, and generally having an amazing time!
